Click for full story. Sporting two of the top five players in the league along with a top-15 big to clean up their sloppy seconds, the Heat are really a team of three. They have a couple guys who play their roles relatively well, but the big two-plus-Bosh are the engine behind a team that's capable of beating anyone when they play as a team, but more likely to get caught up in their individual greatness than team success. The question is how do the Sixers get the Heat superstars into a one-on-one game?

Click for full story. Friday, November 26, 2010. The day after Thanksgiving 2010 bears special significance to our Sixers, even if you did not realize it at the time. On that date the Sixers lost 99-90 to the Miami Heat capping off a putrid 3-13 start. That game represented rock bottom - a combined 31 wins to 74 losses over a 105 game stretch. But somehow we are once again readying ourselves for another match against the Heat and though it is to be played the day after Groundhogs day, it could not feel any more different. Since that terrible 105 game stretch of 0.295 basketball (a 24 win season pace) the Sixers have "made a right at the light" to go 54-34 (0.614, a 50 win season pace.) The question for many has been "is this team legit", but in my opinion the question should be: How?

Click for full story. The Sixers held Derrick Rose to 18 points on 17 shots (and three free throws) last night. In the second half, Rose scored 3 points, didn't hand out a single assist and turned the ball over three times. Rich takes a close look at how Jrue Holiday's phenomenal play at the point of attack completely took away Rose's right hand while the rest of the team shut down the lane behind him.

Click for full story. It's hard to believe we're a third of the way through the season and in 20 days we'll be halfway there, but that's what the schedule is telling us. The Sixers have finished their first two elevens at 8-3 and currently sit tied with Miami and Atlanta for the #2 spot in the Eastern Conference. Let's take a quick look back over the second 11 and forward to the next dozen-minus-one.
