Not one but two stories about Thad's rehab today over at Philly.com. The Sixers have Thad doing some light jogging and flat-footed shooting, but they have forbidden him from jumping. I'm glad he's out there on the floor and feeling optimistic that he'll be back for the first playoff game, if not sooner. This is my decidedly non-medical opinion, however.

Unless it's looking like there's still a chance at the 5 spot, does it make sense to bring Thad back earlier? And if we're locked into the 6th, does it make sense to bring him back early to get him back in the flow or to to let him heal up just a bit more?

Really tough question to answer. I think I'd bring him back when he can play effectively, not necessarily 100%, but effectively. And when the risk of re-injury is minimal. Probably make it a medical decision, rather than a decision dictated by the playoff race.

No matter what seed we wind up with, it would be better for him to get back into the flow of things before the playoffs begin.
