BIG CHANGESDepressed Fan has gone all Sixers. I will still be blogging the Yankees and the Eagles, just in a different place. You can find my Yankee coverage at In Mo We Trust and the Eagles at Don't Boo The Birds. I'll be able to focus on each team better this way.

Games Of Interest

Taking a gander at tonight's NBA schedule was thoroughly depressing. Three games to keep an eye on, Atlanta at Milwaukee, Washington at Cleveland and Detroit at New York.

A thoroughly depressing night because while the number seed is still a mathematical possibility, it isn't going to happen. I'm praying either Washington or Boston can beat the Cavs in Cleveland this week so they aren't playing for the best home record ever on the last day of the Season against the Sixers and finally, Detroit is only 3 games behind the Sixers in the loss column, and we all know the Sixers could easily lose four of their final 5. I'm watching baseball tonight.

If you're still feeling somewhat upbeat, the Sixers are 6-point dogs at Chicago tomorrow night.

the baseball isnt exactly helping my mood (or yours I am sure). this is tough to watch

I hate sports. Of course they come back just close enough to tease me.

saw this stat at Liberty...

Some people love 'em, some people hate 'em, but clutch stats are here to stay. I'm personally intrigued with them.

Iguodala shoots 47% from the field and 79% from the line in crunch time. However; he shoots 13% from beyond the arch during crunch time. Hmmm, maybe he should stop shooting threes.

By the way, Lou-Will shoots 60% from beyond the arch.

It's a pretty small sample size. They're basically saying he's 2/15 from three in those situations this season. I can remember one of them for sure, I'd be shocked if he only hit one other.

I wouldn't. Be shocked, that is.

If I had any brainpower left right now I'd go through the game logs. I know for a fact he's hit some big threes, but I don't know if they were w/in 5 points at the time.

I'd think that Lou usually makes those 3s in the last 5 minutes of games that are already over by that point.

"For these stats 'Clutch' is defined as:
4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points "

Hmmm that's a good definition.

Hmmn. What if you're down by 6 when you take the shot, but it pulls you to within three, isn't that a more important shot than hitting a jumper when you're up 5 to you move it to 7?

It's never going to be perfect, and it's not my definition.

Well I blame you!

Bad, bad mood today. Zero hours of sleep last night, working on a project that "Beta" launched about 2 minutes ago. That's on top of about 2 hours on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Understandable. What exactly do you do?
