I have a simple question for you guys after the jump. It's an either or situation and its one of the few where I honestly couldn't tell you where I stand.
Here goes. In my eyes, the two biggest issues facing this team are the employment of Eddie Jordan as the team's head coach, and Elton Brand's mammoth contract. There are other problems, of course, but when you get to the heart of the matter, the team isn't going to move forward in any significant way on the floor as long as Jordan is running things, and they aren't going to clear a decent amount of cap space until they get out from under Brand's contract.
Here's my question for you: You have to pick either Jordan or Brand, one of them will finish his contract in Philadelphia, the other will not. Who do you pick?
I'll define it a little better for you, getting rid of Brand means simply that. A miracle trade comes along in which the Sixers don't take back a bad contract, nor do they have to include any picks/talent to move him. It's like a get out of jail free card. At the same time, if you choose to get rid of Brand, that means you're stuck with Eddie Jordan through the 2011-2012 season. The rest of this year, all of next year and the year after, as your head coach.
Part of me realizes this is crazy, but I think if given the impossible choice between the two, I'd send Jordan packing. What would you do? Thoughts in the comments, as usual.
