I cannot begin to say enough about the basketball Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert are playing right now. I really don't know where to begin. The Sonics came into Philly tonight and put up a great effort on the second night of a back-to-back, but it just wasn't enough. The Sixers came away with their fifth win in a row, and there are two reasons for the 92-89 final score: Iggy and Sam.
Andre Iguodala notched his third triple-double of the season (25pts, 11 boards, 10 assists) and Samuel Dalembert was an absolute beast on the glass, 20 rebounds (8 offensive). Iggy gets the nod for player of the game. Whenever the Sonics made a run Iggy stemmed the tide with a high-arcing jumper, or drive to the hoop. (Funny side note on Dalembert, apparently he's really, really into paintball...gotta love aggression in your center. The Knicks' center is really, really into cheeseburgers.)
Ray Allen heaved up a bunch of shots for the Sonics (3-14 from three) but did little else. What else is new? Iguodala locked down Rashard Lewis for most of the game, holding him to 11 points on 5-15 from the field.
The Sixers look to continue their streak against a reeling Lakers team in Philly on Friday night. Kobe always has big games in Philly.
