There are reports today that Iverson "voiced displeasure" about possibly going to the Bobcats in a potential deal with the Sixers. I don't know about you, but I'm shocked that Iverson doesn't want to leave a team with no talent to go to another team with no talent.

The problem for the Sixers is that if they deal Iverson to a contender they're going to be stuck with garbage contracts, garbage players and garbage picks in return. The Bobcats have a ton of cap space, and will undoubtedly have a lottery pick in the upcoming draft. This deal could've given the Sixers exactly what they need to get in a deal for A.I., another lottery pick and cap space to sign free agents either next summer or in 2008 when Webber's $20M contract is off the books.

While Iverson doesn't technically have the right veto a trade, if he says he's going to cause problems for his new franchise, that will effectively put the kibosh on any deal. It's looking like either Billy King is going to get raked over the coals by a contending team, or this is going to be three-team deal at the minimum, with the draft pick coming from the third team.
