The Nets will be without Gerald Wallace when they head into the WFC tonight to take on the mildly surging Sixers. If Philly wants to move out of the #7 seed, in a positive way, they need this win. I hope they realize that.
Beyond getting a win, my main reason for watching tonight is to see if the Nets have another unathletic center on their roster who will throw a dunk down on Spencer Hawes' head. Last time, both Jordan Williams and Johan Petro did the honors.
On a more serious note, Collins used mainly Jrue and Iguodala on Deron Williams on Monday, and the Nets' superstar (for the next 8 games), and held him to 14 points on 12 shots, and five assists to five turnovers. Another effort like that tonight would go a long way toward stretching this streak to three games. The Sixers also did a superb job keeping the Nets off the offensive glass. Their 80.4% defensive rebounding rate was a big a key to the win as anything. Keep that number above 75%.
