It's rare that a rumor is denied before I even catch wind of it, but it happened today. The rumor apparently sprung from a report in the South Florida Sun Sentinel, but for the life of me I can't find the original source. Anyway, Ed Stefanski quickly shot it down, and later today Bethlehem Shoals had his own take on the matter for the Sporting News. We'll examine the rumor after the jump and I'll give my take.

When the whirlwind of the NBA draft finally settles down and Jrue Holiday has a chance to take a breath and start thinking about how he's going to earn minutes in his rookie season, he really needs to sit down with Andre Iguodala. Actually, I'll take it a step further, he needs to become Iguodala's shadow. In the gym, in the weight room, in film study. You name it, they need to be attached at the hip because these guys have a whole lot in common.

Now that the draft has sorted itself out, and the Sixers have an apparent need for a veteran PG, let's take a look around the league and see who's going to be in the market for a PG, and which PGs are available.

Since the selection of Jrue Holiday with the #17 pick in Thursday night's draft I've seen and heard reactions from fans ranging from loving the move to hating it. You all know which camp I fall in, and you know why. What really made me curious was the fans who were dead-set against Holiday. After the jump I'll take a stab at putting my thumb on the root of the frustration, and maybe shed a little light on what direction this team is headed, or to be more accurate, how quickly they're headed there.

As most of you know, I went into this draft with unrealistic hopes of seeing the Sixers trade up to get Stephen Curry. When Curry went #7 to the Warriors I felt deflated. When Brandon Jennings went to the Bucks at #10 I felt encouraged. When Earl Clark went to the Suns at #14 I was downright excited. Why? Because at that point, Jrue Holiday was a virtual lock to drop to the Sixers.
